These low power microscopes are also known as "stereo" or "dissecting" microscopes. You would
use a stereo (or dissecting) microscope to look at larger objects like small insects, sand grains, or
circuit boards. Since each eye has its own eyepiece and objective lens that hits the object at a
slightly different angle, stereo microscopes provide "stereo vision", allowing for an in-depth, 3-D
view of the object. These microscopes usually have both a top and bottom light and can be used
for performing both reflected and transmitted light observations. While reflected light is required for
looking at opaque objects, transmitted light is ideal for transparent objects. Our low power
