The B100 is an entry-level Halogen compound microscope which emphasizes high-quality optics over mechanical form. All of the necessary functionality is present in an intuitive form factor which is ideally suited for classroom use. The B100 uses a traditional layout which is beneficial for students and other first-time users.

The binocular head can be customized for each user, with a sliding interpupillary adjuster for varying eye spacing, and diopters for both eyes to fine-tune focus for nearsighted users and for asymmetry. The head can be rotated 360°, and has a 45° incline for viewing while seated or standing. Interchangeable eyepieces allow for an expanded magnification range, or the use of special eyepieces with pointers and measuring reticles.

The stage is equipped with two clips for holding slides and other specimens in place. The microscope uses independent focus knobs to control coarse and fine adjustments. An adjustable limit-stop mechanism can be used to prevent the lenses from making contact with specimens, preventing damage to the lenses and glass slides.

The halogen light-source produces a warmer light which is less fatiguing for the eyes, as well as evenly rendering all colors. A rotating Abbe condenser controls the amount of light and contrast.

This kit includes a starter set of five prepared slides and five blank slides. The prepared slides have pre-mounted plant and animal specimens, chosen to offer a variety of shapes for testing out your new microscope. When you're ready to find your own specimens, the blank slides allow you to mount them for viewing.

  • The B100 is an entry-level Halogen compound microscope which emphasizes high-quality optics over mechanical form.

Monitor and capture photos and videos with the included 2MP digital eyepiece camera. The compact, lightweight camera can be used in place of an eyepiece to watch live images, and to record photos or videos on your computer. This ability to view microscopic images on your computer reduces eye-strain, and allows groups of people to view images at the same time. Our professional software for Windows provides a wide assortment of capture and photo-editing functions including color correction, time-lapse capture, image stitching, and a full complement of measuring tools. A lite version of our software is available for Mac and Linux with essential functionality for capturing photos and videos.

  • The B100 is an entry-level biological compound microscope which emphasizes high-quality optics over mechanical form.

The objective turret provides instant access to 4 magnification levels to easily focus in on minute details from 40X to 1000X. Additional 16X eyepieces expand the maximum magnification to 1600X with 8 unique levels. This covers magnifications needed for studying hair follicles, cells, and bacteria. These high-quality lenses are achromatically corrected to improve resolution and color accuracy.

Monitor and capture photos and videos with the included 2MP digital eyepiece camera. The compact, lightweight camera can be used in place of an eyepiece to watch live images, and to record photos or videos on your computer. • The B100 is an entry-level biological compound microscope which emphasizes high-quality optics over mechanical form.

The objective turret provides instant access to 4 magnification levels to easily focus in on minute details from 40X to 1000X. Additional 25X eyepieces expand the maximum magnification to 2500X with 6 unique levels. This covers magnifications needed for studying hair follicles, cells, and bacteria. These high-quality lenses are achromatically corrected to improve resolution and color accuracy.

This kit includes a starter set of five prepared slides and five blank slides. The prepared slides have pre-mounted plant and animal specimens, chosen to offer a variety of shapes for testing out your new microscope. When you're ready to find your own specimens, the blank slides allow you to mount them for viewing.

This kit includes a starter set of five prepared slides and five blank slides. The prepared slides have pre-mounted plant and animal specimens, chosen to offer a variety of shapes for testing out your new microscope. When you're ready to find your own specimens, the blank slides allow you to mount them for viewing.

This kit includes a starter set of five prepared slides and five blank slides. The prepared slides have pre-mounted plant and animal specimens, chosen to offer a variety of shapes for testing out your new microscope. When you're ready to find your own specimens, the blank slides allow you to mount them for viewing.

  • The B100 is an entry-level biological compound microscope which emphasizes high-quality optics over mechanical form.

This kit includes a starter set of five prepared slides and five blank slides. The prepared slides have pre-mounted plant and animal specimens, chosen to offer a variety of shapes for testing out your new microscope. When you're ready to find your own specimens, the blank slides allow you to mount them for viewing.
